Hi..I keep getting this when I try to install it..it gets to the point that its about to insert the default theme and when the page auto reloads for next step I think it goes to this
"The website encountered an error while retrieving http://gamem8.com/install/install.php?c=db-rows&stage=language. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request."?

Tried clean reinstallation 3 times but to no avail.

Please help and thanks in advance!

Can you put in a ticket to your host and see if they can check the logs for a specific error?

Thank You for responding Citizen, way ahead of you; I had submitted a ticket when the problem first occurred and decided I would start a thread on here as well. They responded to me and told me that the error logs had been due to a database error on my behalf?

Could there perhaps be a line of code that isnt allowing the tables to be filled for that specific info?

Thank You Very Much In Advance,

Ed

I'm actually not sure here. At this point, if your host can't give you an error message, we'll need you to go ahead and submit this as a bug and we'll just assume the problem is on our end. Please submit this to our project tools bug reports area. The link is on the forum home.

If this is critical and you can't wait for the next update, if you get a premium support membership, we can go in and take a look for you and fix it directly.

I wouldnt mind getting premium support, however I would like to see the functionality and usability of the 2.0 beta. Was intending on getting premium once I saw the working beta version, would you perhaps have a demo link? as I think the demo link on the homepage is still for the 1.4 version?

Thanks in Advance, Ed

We wont have a demo up until after v2 stable is released. We're planning on releasing that once we have the bugs worked out. If you're experiencing issues, premium support basically guarantees that everything will work perfectly.

I have just downloaded latest stable version (1.4) and can't install for the same reason : http 500 eror code. I have also noticed there that the folder templates_c is missing from the include/libs/smarty directory.
It's not included in the package at all.

My bad. First I used ark to unpack the files to local server. When I used unrar I got all the files/folders correctly unpacked. However the 500 error remained persistant.
I still have a feeling that the problem is in packaging where something creates circular references.

Do you have old versions for download somewhere?

If the problem isn't on your host's end, we'll need you to post this to our bug reports area here:

http://standalonearcade.com/forums/project.php?projectid=1

Its very unlikely to be a packaging issue. We'll investigate and fix it along with the others for V2 Stable.

I tried to reproduce it again, but this time everything was fine using ark. The only difference is that this time I unpacked the whole directory structure and the first time only Upload directory. Strange.
Anyway I installed beta 2.0 version without problems.

Maybe the thread starter could try to unpack it again using different program.

Cool. We also just uploaded a new version the other day. I haven't posted the announcement yet, but all of the bugs should be fixed :)
